\definelines's second, optional, argument.
Originally, what is now the "Defining new line environments" section defined two new environments, like so:
\definelines[ottavaRima][][indenting={yes, small, even}] \definelines[nurseryRhyme][][indenting={yes, big, even}]
and then went on to a comment:
Note that \definelines has three sets of arguments: the first is the name that you are defining, the second is blank [ ], and the third is the one to use to specify the indenting. From the documentation, it is unclear what the second argument does, but omitting it entirely sometimes (but not always) causes problems.
with a huge {{howto}} template afterwards.
I understand that this optional second parameter lets you inherit from a previous "lines" environment, and I don't expect its omission to cause problems. I'm removing that bit, but leaving this note here, in case I'm mistaken. Solis (talk)
