I went looking for the optional hyphen I know I've used before and didn't find anything in the wiki, so I pretty much copied what's in the big manual in 7.2 (in my not-so-new version).
\stoptable
</context>

== Indicating hyphenation pattern manually (Optional hyphen) ==

If you have single foreign words or just very unusual words, they may hyphenate incorrectly. Especially if the word is used multiple times, you can define a hyphenation pattern with the command

<texcode>
\hyphenation{hää-yö-aie}
</texcode>

If you just need to fix a single word, you can add an optional hyphen (hyphenation hint) with <code>\-</code>: <tt>kai\-vos\-auk\-ko</tt>.
