Npp uses a more sophisticated GUI than Scite, has global bidirectional support as well as lots and lots of text-manipulation utilities It provides most of the tools already present in Hans' Scite distribution, in both run and script form; full support for ConTeXt syntax highlighting; there is also folding support, including a small package for doing \start-stop<section|footnote> -- this module will become obsolete in mkiv. Other features include the Explorer and XBrackets plugin.
