And did you actually successfully try the -passon option for texexec? I wouldn't've thought it would work, actually. --[[User:Adam|Adam]]
It does work for me. But note that I haven't updated texexec yet to your new version, so what actually does work for me is
texexec --tex=xetex --passon=--papersize=845,320 myfile
