Some features explained in detail
autopdf
Currently works only on Windows and Linux. On Mac OS X there is no way to do this for Acrobat Reader 7.0 and Preview.app in a sophisticated way (= keep view), since they are not (apple-)scriptable. You can use TeXniscope or TeXshop that does that automatically.
