== Setup ==
TeXlive is contained in Debian. Just call
aptitude update
aptitude install texlive
aptitude install lmodern texlive-context
The TeXlive Debian packages have been uploaded to unstableWhich will bring you: texlive-latex-recommended, texlive-fonts-recommended,texlive-context, texlive-latex-base, texlive-base.You can go on and install[http://additional packages(like texlive-latex-extra) and additional languages(like texlive-lang-german) and additional documentation (liketexlive-doc-en).debian.org/unstable/tex/texlive]
== Install ==If you want to have a system closely mirroring a TeX Live DVD, you caninstall the texlive-full packages, which pulls in all packages.
Basically, after having purged any other TeX distrib such as tetex: aptitude install texlive-full The <codett> apttexlive-get remove --purge tetex-* texinfocontext</codett>you just have to apt-get package may be older then the packages as root:<codett> apt-get install texlive-context apt-get install texlive-pdfetex apt-get install texlive-metapost apt-get install lmodern</codett>packages from Norbert Preining; see [[Debian_installation]].
