: Basically, to help you find your way around, there is 3 majors versions:
:* 1995: Context Mark II, using good old TeX (ε-TEX, pdfTEX, XeTeX, Aleph), stable and now in maintenance-only mode,
:* 2005: ConTeXt Mark IV, using LuaTex TeX engine,
:* 2019: ConTeXt LMTX, using LuaTex TeX engine, the lean and mean successor of LuaTeX (see [https://tug.org/TUGboat/tb40-1/tb124hagen-lmtx.pdf article]).
