:: Actually, it says "in the spirit of the GNU general public license". This made me suspiciuos, since if it were available under GPL, then why not say so plainly. The sentence as written could imply that it's not formally GPL, but it's "in the spirit", i.e. inspired by GPL. Also, I couldn't find the license text in the distribution.
