Yesterday (September 2008) I noticed that changing the \nolist dots in this way as described below (\setupmarking[chapter][limittext={}]) has no effect. Wolfgang showed the way it works:
\setuplanguage[de][limittext=]
\mainlanguage[de]
\starttext
\completecontent
\chapter{aaa\nolist{bbb}ccc}
\stoptext
