The command \setupreferenceformat is used for configuring referencing commands.

Option	Explanation
label	Label inserted before the left. Mutually exclusive with text name a defined label text, see \setuplabeltext
left	left side of reference output. command can also be a string
right	right side of reference output command can also be a string
type	default like \in text like \about number like \in page like \at
autocase	yes perform capitalisation on text or label.
text	Text inserted before the left. Mutually exclusive with label
style	Formatting style
