Here are instructions for ConTeXt installation on Ubuntu and its derivatives [K/X/L]ubuntu.

Adam Reviczky was most generous to provide us with an Ubuntu PPA (Personal Package Archive) that contains precompiled Ubuntu packages for both ConTeXt and LuaTeX nightlies.
