:Yes. It supports Unicode (utf-8) input, with the <cmd>enableregime</cmd><tt>[utf-8]</tt> command. See also [[Encodings and Regimes]] (This needs a bit of elaboration!) If you use [[XeTeX]], Unicode should work by default.
